Get At It... Today!!!

How many times have you told yourself something like this when contemplating your first move.

-“I’ll start my business once I have more savings.”

-“Let me first finish this degree then I’ll dive in.”

-“I’ll wait until after the holidays when things settle down.”

It’s easy to convince yourself that the timing just isn’t right for you to take the leap whether from perceived money constraints, skill gaps, or life chaos getting in the way.

Here’s the reality of anyone's situation. The stars will never fully align. There will always be an excuse for dragging your feet and delaying if you let external conditions dictate readiness rather than taking action now.

Don’t Do "Nothing" Waiting for "Everything":

Rather than passively waiting on circumstances to give you permission, give YOURSELF permission to start small now. Momentums are built by action not wallowing in procrastination purgatory. Even if the actions taken aren't perfectly executed it's farm more beneficial that you get things moving rather than stay stagnant.

And trust me, I get that it's easy to tell yourself, "I'll start tomorrow," but then get lost in a night of binge watching The Ranch. It takes proactive effort to decide to invest that time in your aspirations when you have it. Not doing so leads to a closed loop of excuse making and procrastination that will eventually build itself into a habit.

The Ugly Truth

Greatness is never derived from easy circumstances. Virtually every legendary business figure throughout history has had to meticulously manage their time in launching their iconic brands. Whether it's working full-time jobs, raising families or having no access to venture capital they didn't let circumstances create bad habits. It's a matter of choosing resourcefulness in the face of a challenge over accepting paralysis due to fear. The reality is that many "normal people" choose to start businesses everyday without things like venture capital or industry connections. You ABSOLUTELY can begin now.

First Steps Build Momentum

There are always things that you can do to get yourself started that don't require a ton of money or time. Start small and build from there.

For Example:

2️⃣ Google search for relevant statistics and trends on your industry idea

3️⃣ Identify 3 established companies you admire in the space and analyze their early branding

4️⃣ Draft social media messaging or blog posts that reflect your unique positioning

5️⃣ Network informally with friends who might work in complementary spaces

Consistent, small actions erode help to erode feelings of being overwhelmed while clarifying the next steps to take. String enough small wins together and you rapidly build operational knowledge plus external accountability.

So push past limiting beliefs into realm of possibility that comes from starting NOW. Progress flows from imperfect action, not perfect timing! You already have the tools and spark within to get started. Stop overthinking and making excuses. Go create something. I can’t wait to see what you build!
